The Key To Maintaining Societal Order

The key to maintaining societal order is tricking the citizenry into believing peaceful protest against government overreach is effective. We know this is not effective as the only time government takes action or avoids actions they should take is when the government fears a particular group, fear of the power the group is able to wield or physical violence they may credibly carry out. This leads to government crack downs on citizens who are likely to abide by existing laws and exceptions and light treatment for those groups who are not likely to abide by the law if they are not treated in a privileged manner.
The best examples of this madness are the UK and Germany. Both the UK and Germany are extremely lax in enforcing laws against people of middle eastern ancestry and believers in Islam. The most recent example is the persecution of Tommy Robinson in the UK. Tommy is not a fan of the ideology of Islam because many of it's tenants and followers hold values that are antithetical to those of countries that were founded on Judaeo-Christian values. What are the those differences? To name a few, Judaeo-Christian golden rule is do unto others as you would have them do unto you while Islam has a hard separation between Muslims and K'afar, non-Muslims, and believes you can treat people differently according to their beliefs. Judaeo-Christian values believe in telling the truth at all times while Islam defends deception against non-believers to further the cause of Islam.
Power is the only thing the left and western governments now respect and virtue. So knowing that only power is respected and fear of your power is the currency of the realm the only action that seems reasonable is to become feared and thus powerful. One needs to be Kaiser Soze.
